ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE

Raven Consultancies was established in 1991 by Tony Mann, who is a psychologist who does work in the fields of both Clinical and Occupational Psychology. Tony's mission is to help individuals and groups reach their full potential and to perform at their optimum levels of efficiency.

Whether this is to help an individual to deal with some traumatic life event, to develop assertiveness, confidence or self-esteem, or to help couples work through relationship issues. It might also be to help groups such as families cope with such things as grief, drug abuse or inter-personal conflicts.

Tony began his therapeutic career as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist specializing in the fields of Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. He then went on to study a number of diverse areas of therapy including Jungian and Freudian Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He is now also a Master Practitioner and Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and TimeLine Therapy and a fully qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Hypnotist Examiner.

Building on his training and experience as a Psychologist, Tony has trained extensively in Clinical Hypnosis in both British and American techniques. He is regularly attending conferences, training seminars and workshops to increase his knowledge and skill for the benefit of his patients, private clients and students. As a result, Tony now has a multitude of therapeutic approaches that can be adopted or merged in order to accommodate the many diverse problems and personality types that enter therapy.

Tony takes a wholly holistic approach with his patients, he is a proponent of the theory of the Inner Child and not only believes in, but strives for the re-empowerment of the individual. Tony believes that there should not be a monopoly on knowledge and therefore his sessions are as much about learning as they are about issue resolution.

His specialist areas are in pain control, natural childbirth, depressive illness and phobic conditions. He works regularly with abuse and rape victims as well as mental addictions. Having been trained by Dr Patricia Trowbridge of the Atlantic Institute of Clinical Hypnosis in America, he is now a registered advanced therapist with the New Jersey Institute for A.D.D., Hyperactivity, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia as well as other learning disorders.
